STAGING AREA MANAGER (STAM)

The Staging Area Manager (STAM) is responsible for managing all activities within designated staging areas.

(1) Review Common Responsibilities.

(2) Implement pertinent sections of the Incident Action Plan (IAP).

(3) Establish and maintain boundaries of staging areas.

(4) Post signs for identification and control.

(5) Establish check-in function, as appropriate.

(6) Determine and request logistical support for personnel and equipment, as needed.

(7) Advise the Operations Section Chief (OSC) of all changing situation/conditions on-scene.

(8) Respond to requests for resource assignments.

(9) Respond to requests for information, as required.

(10) Demobilize or reposition staging areas, as needed.
