SECURITY MANAGER (SECM)

The Security Manager (SECM) is responsible for providing safeguards to protect personnel and property from loss or damage.

(1) Review Common Responsibilities.

(2) Obtain a briefing from the Logistics Section Chief (LSC).

(3) Participate in Logistics Section planning activities.

(4) Establish contacts with local law enforcement agencies, as required.

(5) Contact Agency Representatives (AREPs) to discuss any special custodial requirements which may affect operations.

(6) Request required personnel support to accomplish work assignments.

(7) Initiate Equipment Check-in List (ICS-211e) and Personnel Check-in List (ICS-211p), as appropriate.

(8) Ensure support personnel are qualified to manage security issues.

(9) Develop a Security Plan for incident facilities.

(10) Adjust Security Plan for personnel and equipment changes and releases.

(11) Coordinate security activities with appropriate incident personnel.

(12) Provide safeguards to protect personnel and property from loss or damage.

(13) Document all complaints and suspicious occurrences.

(14) Submit reports to the Logistics Section Chief (LSC).
