GROUND/VESSEL SUPPORT UNIT LEADER (GSUL/VSUL)
The Ground/Vessel Support Unit Leader (GSUL/VSUL) is responsible for the maintenance, service, and fueling of ground and waterborne transportation assets and coordinating implementation of the Incident Traffic Plan and Vessel Routing Plan.
(1) Review Common Responsibilities.
(2) Obtain a briefing from the Logistics Section Chief (LSC).
(3) Participate in Logistics Section planning activities.
(4) Coordinate development of the Incident Traffic Plan, in coordination with the Planning Section.
(5) Support out-of-service resources.
(6) Notify the Resources Unit (RESL) of all status changes on support, transportation, and waterborne resources.
(7) Maintain inventory of support/transportation vehicles and marine vessels (ICS-218).
(8) Coordinate transportation services.
(9) Maintain usage information on rented equipment.
(10) Arrange for fueling, maintenance, and repair of resources.
(11) Coordinate incident road maintenance.
(12) Submit reports to the Logistics Section Chief (LSC).
