DIVISION/GROUP SUPERVISOR (DIVS)

Division/Group Supervisors (DIVS) are responsible for managing geographic and/or functional operations associated with field activities, in compliance with the Incident Action Plan (IAP).

(1) Review Common Responsibilities.

(2) Implement the Incident Action Plan (IAP) for the Division/Group.

(3) Provide available Incident Action Plan (IAP) to Strike Team/Task Force Leaders (STL/TFL).

(4) Identify geographic areas or functions assigned to Divisions and Groups.

(5) Review Division/Group assignments and incident activities with subordinates and assign tasks.

(6) Keep the Resources Unit (RESL) advised of all changes in status of resources assigned to the Division/Group.

(7) Coordinate activities with other Divisions.

(8) Determine need for assistance on assigned tasks.

(9) Submit situation and resources status information to the Operations Section Chief (OSC).

(10) Report special occurrences or events, such as accidents or sickness, to the immediate supervisor.

(11) Resolve logistical problems within the Division/Group.

(12) Participate in developing plans for the next operational period.
