SHORELINE ASSESSMENTS

Erin Kelly (Project Environmental Engineer with TRC Companies) familiarizes HFSM with their company, which can assist with Shoreline Cleanup Assessment Technique (SCAT) studies in response to this morning’s oil spill on the Pecos River. She indicates their team of scientists can arrive on-scene by tomorrow morning in preparation for SCAT reconnaissance activities. If awarded the contract, Ms. Kelly asks to receive available incident documentation relating to wildlife habitats and environmentally sensitive areas at risk of potential contamination. She also seeks to obtain a map of the area which delineates division boundaries, as this will help them divide the shoreline into “units/segments” to facilitate field surveys. This is a Drill!
